The First and the Last reflects divergence and convergence in organic systems. The installation consists of audio-visual artificial worlds, from natural landscapes to fractal universes. Viewers can participate into worlds over internet using computers or on site with phones and PDA by using avatars with limited life spans. Avatars can move, propose and refuse to mate. By mixing and varying parent characteristics the offspring extends viewer participation time.
