there is no format for them, or is there? afaik they are internal to the apps. one perhaps interesting way to think of programmatic models is to have them as objects, with properties for having the shape etc. and methods for manipulation (and animation) - perhaps something like SoyaPlant or the upcoming SoyaEscalator?. some BlenderPython? guy also mentioned the possibility of having python 3d objects there .. BlenderPythonObject? that would be.
